Valerie Attrill-Shoemaker is a 30+ year veteran to the Pet Industry. In 1989 after graduating with Honors and First in her class from the Pennsylvania School of Dog Grooming she started her career in grooming as a Certified Master Canine Stylist. After 9 years working and managing a local grooming shop, Valerie opened her first pet grooming salon in Allentown, PA. Here her dedication, hard work and commitment to her customers providing high quality service at a reasonable price quickly grew her business to one of the top grooming salons in the Lehigh Valley. During her tenure she received several awards and was given the exciting opportunity to teach several Grooming and Pet Care classes at the Northampton County Community College. Valerie refocused her career and graduated in 2008 from Cole's K-9 Center Trainers School adding Professional Dog Trainer to her already successful grooming career. On October 1, 2008 combining her training skills with her existing knowledge of pet care and grooming, K9 Innovations was created in Walnutport, PA. A lifetime member of the Lehigh Valley Animal Rights Coalition, Valerie remains Certified by the Red Cross in Pet CPR & First Aid as well as being a Certified Evaluator of the AKC Canine Good Citizenship Program. K9 Innovations has been actively involved with the Police K-9 Units of Lehigh Township, Allentown, Lehigh County, South Whitehall and others. K9 Innovations has donated Pet Oxygen Masks to the Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company for emergency fire calls, supports several Pet Rescue Organizations and donates to the Northampton County "Animal" Meals on Wheels Program.
